The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They feature impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and works well, but this is something you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. robotic hoovers will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
The device comes with a expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to remember that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers that help to protect specific areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was about to start or finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app cannot store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
